====== Nibble Area ======

The Nibble Area is a dedicated soldering work-space at 36C3. You are welcome to solder our famous [[https://github.com/Binary-Kitchen/SolderingTutorial/tree/master/NibblePegDIP|Nibble Pegs]] all around the clock.

It's just a peg with a nibble (4) of LEDs mounted to it. Quite easy to solder but a great C3-accessory.

We will post the area's position as soon as we know.
It will be somewhere at 36c3.


===== Costs? =====
The Nibble Peg and soldering will be **free of charge** for everyone! We try to spread soldering skills among everyone. Therefore we got very simple and easy up to further advanced [[https://github.com/Binary-Kitchen/SolderingTutorial|soldering kits]]. We appreciate donations to continue our work and offer the further workshops at and beside Chaos events.

No registration ist required! Just come by :)
You can also take part in one of our workshops. Those require a short registration via email.

==== Workshop: Nibble ++ ====

Nibble++ is a simple PCB to test your SMD hand-soldering skills. Going down to sand grain sized 01005 SMD parts, this button is a challenge for experienced "soldiers" and those who want to become one. You're free to bring your own device and microscope.

Soldering skills are helpful but you can do what you can do. The kit starts with more easy SMD sizes. We don't have a sign up list, just come by and solder (but we just have 38 seats, first come first serve).

==== Workshop: ATX-Breakout-Board ====

The ATX-Breakoutboard is a handy breakout board to get all important voltages from an standard ATX power supply: 3.3 V to 12 V. You just attach a ATX power supply and it works!... Hopefully :)

==== Workshop: Fancy RGB-LED Cube (Junghacker-Tag people only!) ====

The RGB LED Cube is a simple LED cube consisting of 27 RGB LEDs in a 3x3x3 configuration. No programming or soldering skills needed.

Soldering skills are helpful but not needed. This course is also for absolute beginners. We don't have a sign up list, just come by and solder (but we just have 38 seats, first come first serve).


==== What else can we solder? ====
We will also bring [[https://github.com/Binary-Kitchen/SolderingTutorial|some other kits]] to the workshops.

In contrast to previous information we sadly won't be able to offer the [[https://github.com/Binary-Kitchen/nibble_plusplus|Nibble++]]-Kit. The circuit boards aren't working due to some misstakes. We are planning to offer those in the future.
